Dee Dee Myers' tenure as the Clinton administration's White House press secretary was not easy. She often felt frustrated because she was not given the official duties of a press secretary. In the end, she resigned due to pressure from White House chief of staff Leon Panetta and lack of support from within the White House.

Legislators and lobbyists maintain a mutually beneficial relationship which allows the former to have their all-expense paid trips and other perks in exchange for favors they can dispense through the power they hold. A closer look at this system characteristic of Washington, DC, is presented.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) wasted more than $3 billion out of its $4 billion budget by undertaking several unsuccessful modernization projects since the 1980s. The IRS failed because of its inability to seek external guidance brought about by its agents' paranoid mentality.
