North to Alaska
Article Abstract:
A personal account of a drive along the Alaska Highway from Missoula, Montana, to Alaska. Driving the Alaska Highway had once been regarded as a trek rather than just a trip, with the Canadian government in the 1940s warning people planning to make the trip to bring 40 gallons of fuel and 20 gallons of water, but now that the route is paved all the way the journey is much less perilous.
