A description is presented of the attractions which are available to tourists visiting the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. The large population of alligators living in the swamp and its varied habitats are discussed.

A canoeist saw many alligators on a four-day trip through Georgia's Okefenokee swamp. The alligators seemed to wish to be left alone, and disappeared under the water if tourists got too close.
