The 45-70 Government cartridge has played movie roles, earned a distinguished place in competitive shooting and is a favorite among those who love hunting. As originally loaded and adopted by the U.S. Army in 1873, the .45-70 Government used 70 grs. of blackpowder to lob a 405-gr., all-lead bullet at a muzzle velocity.

Lazzeroni legitimized
Article Abstract:
In 1992 John Lazzeroni designed a series of cartridges that had all the features the dedicated big-game hunter desired. The Lazzeroni rifles are fairly priced and would possibly expand the hunting opportunities for a hunter.
