Ten seniors from Landon, one of WashingtonEs elite prep schools, had been caught cheating on an SAT examination in 2002. The chairman of the Landon board of trustees said that it was clear, from national research and surveys, that academic dishonesty was widespread in America at colleges and high schools of every quality, and the elimination of all cheating was not realistic.
