Over-unders come of age
Article Abstract:
A history of stackbarrel shotgun rifles or over-unders is presented. Over-unders became more popular for skeet and trap shooting in the late 1960s. These rifles offered better target visibility than side-by-side shotguns, which were difficult to sight rising targets.

The low-velocity theory revisited
Article Abstract:
The 'low-velocity principle' of shotguns asserts that heavy shotgun pellets projected at high velocity will produce less recoil and exceptional shot patterns. The mechanics of this principle and techniques for producing shotshells that incorporate it are discussed.
