Travelers are advised to bring basic medication kits in their travels because purchasing some medicines can be difficult even in English-speaking countries. Among the medications recommended to be brought are for motion sickness, diarrrhea, and constipation. Other medications recommended are sunscreens, insect repellents and antiseptics.

Bad medicine in China: travelers are warned of primitive facilities
Article Abstract:
Western tourists to China should take health precautions as medical services and facilities there are below standard. Hospitals are congested and unhygienic. A worsening health condition would sometimes also require air evacuation, which is very expensive.
