Despite its long history, the .38 super auto cartridge is not a popular choice among gun enthusiasts and its use has waned. However, because the International Practical Shooting Confederation has retained its use for competitions the cartridge should enjoy a resurgence.

Taper crimps and accuracy
Article Abstract:
Crimps on handgun ammunitions are of two types, the tapered and the rolled. Varied observations among gun users lead to the testing of the effect of each crimp on accuracy. The tests revealed that both crimps gave similar results.
