Renaissance on the Arno
Article Abstract:
The Villa La Massa, on the banks of the Arno, near Florence, Italy, was built in the late eighteenth century and has been remodeled several times, becoming a hotel in the 1940's and finally in 1999 being acquired by the owners of the Villa d'Este hotel. A major restoration has been undertaken to turn the Villa into a luxury establishment which retains a personal touch.

Industrial designers Richard Seymour and Richard Powell have designed a more comfortable economy-class seat for airline passengers. Working with the small amount of space allowed an economy-class seat, the designers have come up with a concept based on ideas such as equal weight distribution, a better pivot point, and folding seats.

Florida, low on the water
Article Abstract:
A trip along the Florida River Coast is described. The area includes the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge and the Chassahowitz National Wildlife Refuge. Residents call the area Florida's Nature Coast and are determined to protect its wetlands.
