Congressional moves to ban firearms are presented. Representative Major Owens filed H.R. 438 which seeks to repeal the right of Americans to bear arms and Senator John Chaffee presented S. 2913 which aims to prohibit all handguns. Sen Chaffee alleges that gun prohibition will solve health care problems.

2nd amendment & the gathering storm
Article Abstract:
There has been an increase in attempts by politicians and members of the media to repeal the Second amendment, which guarantees the right to bear arms. Fortunately, the furor raised by the National Rifle Association with the help of gun owners has helped prevent that repeal.
