Article Abstract:
Economist Steven Levitt alleges that cheating accounts for a statistically significant percentage of the measured improvement in test scores for Chicago grade schoolers. He believes that teachers in as many as five percent of classrooms began facilitating cheating to avoid sanctions for poor test scores.
