Columbus is the only jurisdiction in America to have passed 'assault weapons' banned, since the Clinton-Schumer federal ban expired as failure and fraud on 13 September 2004. Columbus gun owners who refuse or fail to register their fire-arms can expect criminal prosecution ranging from a first-degree misdemeanor charge for a first offense, to a mandatory 90-day jail sentence.

The Washington, D.C. law has emerged as a major threat to gun owners across the nation. The Assault Weapon Manufacturing Strict Liability Act holds the manufacturer, dealer or importer of any assault weapon or machine gun strictly liable for the damages arising from injuries or deaths resulting from the firearm's discharge in the District.

Standing guard
Article Abstract:
The Internet reflects America's unique First Amendment, and it serves to protect their equally unique Second Amendment. The Internet is still safely in American hands for now but this fight, like the global efforts to disarm Americans, will never go away.
