Bologna located in the heart of Emilia-Romagna that invented the staples of Italian cooking, renaissance fountains, grand pizzas, open-air markets and mammoth marble duomo are described. Bologna makes a good weekend escape from the most popular capitals of tourism that are mostly crowded, and Buca di San Petronio just off Piazza Maggiore is a restaurant in Bologna with a good location.
