Article Abstract:
Loren Lem caught Alaska's largest halibut during 1993, which was only 18 lbs short of the world's unofficial record 440 lb halibut caught near Juneau in 1978. However, neither fish is eligible for any record because the International Game Fish Assn forbids shooting fish.
