An account of a trip to Snag in the Yukon Territory. Snag is the site of the lowest recorded temperature in North America. The temperature in Snag fell to minus 81.4 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 63 Celsius) on 03 February 1947.

Memoirs of an encounter with a wolverine during a wilderness race from Nabesna to McCarthy, Alaska, are presented. Reference is made to the secretive nature of the wolverine and the difficulties in studying their behaviour.
