State constitutions and the Second Amendment
Article Abstract:
Much attention has recently been given to the original meaning of the Second Amendment. Analysis of state constitutions adopted prior to the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights indicate what the right to keep and bear arms meant to those who ratified these documents.

Is this 'crime' worth the time?

The Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act was adopted by the state of California in 1989. It prohibited the sale of certain firearms as well as mandated the registration of currently owned ones.

California's waiting period law; just how well has it worked?

California's 70-year old handgun purchasing waiting period law was evaluated. It was shown that the law has had no statistical effect on lowering murder rates.
