The chalet is the preferred architectural style of the Swiss, and has been for a long time. Swiss citizens, however, define a chalet in various ways. Chalets were thought in the 16th century to harbor the devil, and the person moving into the chalet had to evict the evil.

Affordable Alps: Innsbruck

Ski package tours to Innsbruck, Austria, are analyzed. The Austrian National Tourist Office claims that skiers can have a cheaper vacation in Innsbruck than in Park City, UT. Only skiers near New York, NY, however, can take advantage of the lower air fares.

Fastest seat in the Alps
Article Abstract:
A trip to Wengen, Switzerland, to ge sledding is described. There are about 200 miles of sled runs in the Alps, accessible by aerial cable cars or mountain railways. Local hotels and restaurants are discussed.
