Wichersham and his wife set a new social standard in Fairbanks during the early 1900s. They hosted afternoon teas and 'at-homes,' times when friends were encouraged to visit. Three recipes that may have been prepared for such events are included: Brandy Snips, Current-Orange Cupcakes, and Anchovy Cream.

Pat and Joel Emel, Jr. have lived most of their lives in the small community of Meyers Chuck, AK. Throughout their lives, the couple has developed a wide range of delectable recipes from salmon, sea cucumbers and porpoise. Several of the Emels' most interesting recipes are discussed.
