Burke's stellar career as a politician in Chicago's 14th ward is tainted with a payroll padding scandal that even his enemies do not believe he could have let happened. A Burke employee who was also on the city rolls, returned almost $100,000 he received for not doing anything. Burke's life and career are discussed.

Ellison and his band Material Issue were gaining popularity when the brash lead singer and guitarist committed suicide in 1995. No one near Ellison seemed aware that he was distraught and lonely before he took his life at the age of 32.
