More working people are becoming involved in voluntary activities through volunteer vacations. This arrangement involves spending between one and three weeks undertaking a community-based activity. Volunteers benefit from really getting to know the local culture of the country they visit.

Issues concerning ways of travelling for disabled people are discussed. Particular attention is given to techniques of travelling for disabled people and facilities provided by airlines, restaurants and hotels aimed at accommodating people with disabilities.
