The politics of pension reform in Peru
Article Abstract:
This article examines pension reform and social interests in Peru. The author argues the privatization of social security in Peru created concentrated beneficiaries that pushed for further market reform initiatives that worked against the interests of the workers in the formal sector, benefiting capital over labor.
