Torres del Paine
Article Abstract:
A man travels to the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. On his first day in the park he rents a van and comes across guanacos, related to the llama. He also hiked into the Cordillera del Paine, a mountain range. Later he travels by horse to a remote sanctuary.

Mr. Tompkins's neighborhood

Doug Tompkins owns more than 760,000 acres of rain forest in Chile. He began buying the property in 1991 in an effort to preserve the land and intends to donate the land to Chile and have it managed by a Chilean foundation.
