A trip to the North Slope Borough in Alaska was described. Wildlife such as Porcupine caribou was sighted everywhere, even where unexpected. Koyukon Indians in a riverboat provided transportion to a working fish camp where smoked salmon was being processed.

Alaska Route 5 and Top of the World highways are closed to traffic every winter. They become the route for an international four-day snowmobile fun run. The run is held every winter, traversing the route from Tok, AK, to Dawson City, Yukon Territory.
