Traveling to Venice, Italy, and other frequented tourist spots around the world can still be worthwhile, even though tourists are threatening to overrun many areas. Solutions must be found to preserve the character of such places as Venice, along with other cultural and wilderness sites.

How fair are the new fares?

When American Airlines announced a new fare structure that eliminated many restrictions, most of the other airlines quickly followed suit. Hotels and rental car agencies announced similar plans. Some consumers remain skeptical about the benefits.
