The vessel 'Captain Conner' transports marine wildlife lovers from Gustavus, Alaska, to the Icy Straits for a day of whale watching. 'Captain Conner' was built by McNeil Island Federal Penitentiary convicts in 1943 to bring in prisoners from the mainland.
