Bald eagles are still an endangered species, and several eagles were deliberately killed in Wisconsin in 1994 and 1995. Anti-government fanatics seem to be behind some of the deaths, and a possible disease is being researched. Tips on eagle-watching are included.

Amtrak trains are staffed by redcaps, but there is only one per 558 passengers. An 800 telephone number is given to schedule redcap help at any station in advance, and duties performed by the baggage carriers are discussed.
