White rice and the West Buttress
Article Abstract:
A personal account of a climb up the West Buttress route on Mount Denali in Alaska with a group of Japanese climbers. In contrast to a warning that the Japanese are not good people to climb with as they do not care about the welfare of others, they are described as being much more fun to climb with than other groups.
