the eagles have landed
Article Abstract:
The town of Brackendale in British Colombia is home to thousands of bald eagles during the midwinter months. Considered rare in most other areas of North America, the birds leave the Yukon and Alaska to inhabit the Brackendale area, almost as if they were pigeons flocking to a city park. An eagle preserve has been established in the area, and the town annyually celebrates their presence with a Wing Ding Dinner and Dance.
