William Donald Hamilton died on March 7, 2000 from complications of malaria. He was a leading evolutionary biologist who was in the Congo testing an hypothesis that chimpanzees who were involved in testing the polio vaccine may have strains of SIV closely related to the ancestor of HIV-1.

Natural dyes
Article Abstract:
The process of dyeing has been known since antiquity. Dye plants, roots, stems, bark, leaves and flowers were used to color clothes and household textiles. Some dye plants were native to America and introduced to the colonists. The process of dyeing with plant materials is described.
