Aerial ambition
Article Abstract:
The UK based company Surrey Satellites' revenues have grown considerably since 2002 by way of its business, which it has built, by manufacturing microsatellites spacecraft weighing 10-100 kg for customers who want to go into space in a limited budget of not more than US$10 million. The company's chief executive Martin Sweeting has identified a market of $1 billion over the next five years for small satellites and plans to grow their share to achieve annual sales up to 100 million pound-sterlings by end of 2016.

Wishing for the stars
Article Abstract:
The failure of the 2001 decadal review, which saw the delay and 'indefinite deferring' of the listed projects, has prompted the US astronomers into thinking on a different line, wherein they would prioritize projects and choose missions independently. The 2011 decadal survey would be setting a different kind of agenda from that of 2001, as it would have to deal with the large number of incomplete projects in the previous survey, that would explicitly prioritize projects that were already recommended.
