Alien Earth

Article Abstract:

Researchers are edging closer to finding the one type of planet that is carbon copy of the Earth with the help of improved techniques, mounting data sets and a new space mission. Researchers are all set to make big progress if an alien Earth is found and determine if it could support life by scanning a distant planet's atmosphere by taking the spectrum of the light emitted by its star when the planet is completely hidden from view and subtracting if from the combined spectrum when the planet is in front.

Critics of the US ethanol industry have long derided it as an environmentally questionable subsidy to Mid-western farmers from Iowa that simply serves a transparently political purpose with a very small net gain. The requirement of lots of inputs like fertilizers, water and pesticides with very less output of sugar has made the US government look for alternatives to improve US energy security by producing cellulosic ethanol made from rougher and woodier parts of plants as biofuel within six years.
