The 'Animals Rights View of England' tour provided participants with opportunities to discuss the animal rights movement in the UK. The discussions focused on public support for animal rights, vegetarianism and cruelty-free living as well as media coverage and Parliamentary support for increased animal protection.

Stallwood recalls his decision to become a vegetarian after working in a chicken processing plant. He came to know vegetarians who convinced him to embrace vegetarian beliefs. He and his family found it difficult to practice vegetarianism because of the lack of cookbooks and health food stores.
