A large number of drug trials are being outsourced to contractors as drug companies feel it is a good way to cut down costs. Critics claim that the involvement of contractors makes the process secretive, when it should actually be transparent to the public, and worry that in their quest to deliver the data fast, the contractors might cut areas.
