Back from the dead
Article Abstract:
The discipline of forensic medicine under successive military governments has nearly perished in Brazil. But it is starting to bounce back, inspired by a remarkable institute near Sao Paulo, where a new center for forensic medicine has been built, wherein forensic pathologist work in partnership with university researchers.

Tissue donations slump after revelations about misuse

Issues are presented concerning the large decrease which has occurred in the donation of human tissue for research following the revelations of widespread misuse of human remains by certain hospitals in the United Kingdom.
