Bins, bouts and wheel-running speed
Article Abstract:
A critical analysis of procedures for measuring animal running speeds is presented. It is concluded that the traditional measurements using wheel turns, as for rats and mice, may be subject to error.

Nutritional stress and behavioral immunity of damselflies
Article Abstract:
Research describing the response of damselflies to parasitic infection when stressed is presented. It is shown that unstressed damselflies were more successful at removing parasites.

Communication in crested tits and the risk of predation
Article Abstract:
Research describing the effects on predation of crested tit contact calls is presented. It is shown that long distance calling is costly in terms of predation for wintering tits.
