Ilya Prigogine (1917-2003)

Ilya Prigogine was a pioneer of the thermodynamics of irreversible processes. His research created a link between physics, chemistry and biology with raminificaions to sociology and economics. He was awarded the Nobel prize for chemistry in 1977.
