Confusion about form and function clouds launch of EC's Decade of the Brain
Article Abstract:
The EC's effort to start an organized European program for research in neuroscience was muddled by being announced before the EC had officially approved the idea and before financial backing had been secured. The program, called the Decade of the Brain, is being initiated at the behest of the European Neuroscience Association (ENA) to bring brain research in Europe up to the US level. However, the ENA must reorganize itself if the proposed program is to succeed.
