Controlled capillaries
Article Abstract:
A research work on regulation of blood flow implicates pericytes as the new players in regulating blood flow at the smallest level in the brain. Evidence obtained proves that pericytes modify capillary diameter by stimulating the cells directly with microelectrodes in rat brain slices and in retinal explants.

Glycine binding primes NMDA receptor internalization
Article Abstract:
N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors (NMDARs), a type of excitatory ligand-gated ion channel with critical roles in physiological and disease systems in the central nervous system, are discussed. Includes graphs.

BDNF from microglia causes the shift in neuronal anion gradient underlying neuropathic pain
Article Abstract:
To determine brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) from microglia that causes the shift in neuronal anion gradient underlying neuropathic pain different methods are used.
