Coyotes as sentinels for monitoring bovine tuberculosis prevalence in white-tailed deer
Article Abstract:
A study to understand the disease dynamics in wild populations especially bovine tuberculosis (bTB) prevalence in white-tailed deer is presented. After an extensive program determined coyotes as likely candidates for bioaccumulation of bTB, coyotes are used as sentinels to detect bTB prevalence in white-tailed deer.

Fence-line contact between wild and farmed cervids in Colorado: potential for disease transmission
Article Abstract:
A study to find out if transmission of diseases like chronic wasting disease are due to direct and indirect contact between wild and farmed cervids along perimeter fences is presented. Results found no direct contact through double woven-wire fences.
