DNA-guided crystallization of colloidal nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
The three-dimensional crystalline assemblies of gold nanoparticles obtained by interaction between complementary DNA molecules attached to the nanoparticles' surface are reported. The DNA-mediated crystallization method could be used to generate new classes of ordered multicomponent metamaterials and study the phase behavior of hybrid systems.

Green fluorescent RNA
Article Abstract:
A new concept that relies on aptamers, which are short ribonucleic acid (RNA) sequences that can bind to a specific ligand, is used for developing the fluorescent probes that are made entirely of RNA. The new process permits the protein expression levels to be altered quickly and is expected to benefit intramolecular imaging.
