Development of cooperative relationships through increasing investment
Article Abstract:
The question of how cooperative one should be can only be answered in terms of the number of cooperative acts performed, under current theory. It is now shown that cooperative relationships are robust in the face of cheats and subtle cheats. A scale of investment in altruism is introduced, and the successful 'raise the stakes' (RTS) strategy is shown through simulation. RTS resists exploitation by other strategies and makes the most of cooperative opportunities.

The evolution of mullerian mimicry in multispecies communities
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to show that predators do not always generate strong selection for mimicry when there are two unprofitable prey types. It is demonstrated that when predators are faced with a range of different prey species, selection on unprofitable prey to resemble one another can be intense.
