Drosophila CBP is a co-activator of cubitus interruptus in hedgehog signalling
Article Abstract:
The role of dCBP (a transcription factor gene in Drosophila) as a coactivator of cubitus interruptus (ci) in hedgehog (hh) signalling was established though analysis of the expression patterns of several genes in nej mutant involved in establishing each parasegment and analysis of binding assays using the dCBP fragment as a 'bait'. Results revealed that a part of Ci activation domain is required for phosphoprylation-independent interaction with dCBP.

Hedgehog stimulates maturation of Cubitus interruptus into a labile transcriptional activator
Article Abstract:
Genetics research indicates that protein Hedgehog uses enzyme fused protein kinase in the stimulation of transcription factor Cubitus interruptus (Ci) maturation. Evidence suggests that suppressor of fused protein kinase has an opposing effect on maturation after interacting with Ci. Western blot analysis techniques were used on embryo and wing disc extracts.
