Nest desertion and cowbird parasitism: evidence for evolved responses and evolutionary lag
Article Abstract:
Research is presented describing nest desertion's role as an antiparasite defence in the brown-headed cowbird, in the habitat types of forest, nonforest and intermediate. The frequency of desertion is shown to differ among the habitat types.
