Electron density fluctuations in the local interstellar bubble
Article Abstract:
Scintillation measurements of a pulsar's signal passing through the interstellar gas give a picture of the gas' turbulence. Fluctuations in the density of electrons along the line of sight are an order of magnitude lower than for measurements along any other direction, indicating that the interior of the cloud is fairly calm. Regions of high plasma turbulence, if there are any, must be confined to the periphery of the cloud.

Mystery of an interstellar ion
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the difficulties which are faced by scientists in explaining the abundance of the H(sub 3)(super +) ion in star formation and interstellar chemistry. An explanation for the abundance is discussed.

Mechanism for the destruction of H(sub 3)(super +) ions by electron impact
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the use of the Jahn-Teller symmetry-distortion effect to investigate the collisions of electron molecules in a theoretical way. The ionic vibration of hydrogen ions is discussed.
