Factors influencing movement patterns of Keel-billed toucans in a fragmented tropical landscape in southern Mexico
Article Abstract:
A study that will determine the way in which factors influence movements of Keel-billed toucans in a fragmented landscape in southern Mexico is presented. It is reported that cost-distance modeling is relatively unexplored and is a valuable tool for obtaining spatially explicit information on how the structure and composition of a landscape impedes or facilitates animal movements.

Selection of Priority Areas for Fish Conservation in Guadiana River Basin, Iberian Peninsula
Article Abstract:
Climate, hydrology, geomorphology, and human influence variables were used to develop predictive models for native fish riverine habitat populations. Conservation value between species varied significantly. Use of the model is described.
