Farming the flying flowers
Article Abstract:
A Costa Rican butterfly farm provides a good example of how conservationist and business interests can combine to protect endangered habitats and species. The Butterfly Farm sells pupae to butterfly houses all over the world, and promotes conservation by creating a market for rainforest species to encourage the preservation of the habitat. There are over 20,000 known species of butterflies and thousands more still to be discovered. Conservationist groups such as Xerxes are also discussed.

Tony Blair's highway
Article Abstract:
Tony Blair, the leader of the British Labour Party, announced a deal with British Telecom to provide free network connections to schools, colleges and libraries. According to the deal, signed in Oct 1995, British Telecom will use the proposed broadband network to broadcast multimedia and television signals to all its connections. The lack of a formal constitution will ensure Labour Party's domination in the field of telecommunications.
