The analysis of fluctuating asymmetry redux: the robustness of parametric statistics
Article Abstract:
The use of parametric tests in the analysis of fluctuating asymmetry is appropriate and eve recommended. Fluctuating asymmetry is defined as deviation from symmetry on bilateral characters with near-normal distribution of signed asymmetries. Transformation of fluctuating asymmetry before subjecting it to parametric analysis or the use of non-parametric tests will reduce the power of this tests. Type II statistical errors may be reduced but the effect on type I errors is uncertain.

Human female orgasm and mate fluctuating asymmetry
Article Abstract:
The relationship between human female orgasm and mate fluctuating asymmetry was investigated. The results showed that women with partners who have low fluctuating symmetry not only experienced more orgasms during copulation but were more orgasmic as compared to women whose partners possessed high fluctuating asymmetry. Few other male features had a significant influence on the occurrence of reported female orgasms.
