Games people play with authors' names
Article Abstract:
Artists and scientists have little in common, but scientists envy artists in one aspect of their work, the right to be the sole originators of their creations. While it is undisputed that researchers must be responsible for papers bearing their names, doubt remains as to how deeply they should be aware of the paper's contents. Although the general rule that co-authors should be knowledgeable about the entire contents of a paper seems reasonable, it fails when their skills are complementary to the research rather than contiguous.

Plug-in quantum software
Article Abstract:
Quantum computers could, in principle, solve problems that conventional digital computers can never solve. A quantum computer processes information encoded in quantum states, and a quantum software program is a particular quantum state. Complex quantum states are extremely fragile, but it is likely that fault-tolerant quantum computers will be made possible by quantum software, achieving processing speeds that surpass those of conventional digital computers.
