Gigantism and comparative life-history parameters of tyrannosaurid dinosaurs
Article Abstract:
The growth patterns within the Tyrannosauridae, the best known group of large carnivorous dinosaurs is studied and determination of the developmental means by which Tyrannosaurus rex grew to be one of the most enormous terrestrial carnivorous animals ever is presented. Extreme size change leading to gigantism occurred within the dinosaurs on multiple occasions.

Two feathered dinosaurs from northeastern China
Article Abstract:
Two therapods bearing feathers and dating from the Upper Jurassic/Lower Cretaceous have been found in the Chaomidianzi Formation of Liaoning province, China. These therapods, designated Protarchaeopteryx and Caudipteryx, have relatively long legs. In both cases, the hallux is positioned high and orientated anteromedially. This indicates that these therapods were ground-dwelling runners, in spite of having downy and plumulaceous feathers covering their bodies. Both lie outside Avialae and are non-avian coelurosaurs.
