Gravity waves with a new spin
Article Abstract:
The Suns angular momentum is lost to the solar wind through its magnetic field. The radiative interior is known to rotate at a similar rate to the surface, and research shows that the two regions are strongly coupled through wave transport. The research assumes that the direction of the transport reduces the shear, resulting in a uniform rotation of the radiative interior. This emphasises the significance of off-resonant waves and their role in determining rotation variations in the Sun.

Waves in the wind
Article Abstract:
Spectral analysis of the fluxes of H and He ions measured by the Ulysses and Voyager 2 spacecrafts show temporal variations in the interplanetary plasma. These variations of particle fluxes in the form of sharp lines are probably because of the coherent seismic oscillations of the Sun. However, the formation of measurable particle-flux variations by the small amplitude oscillations is not clear.

Sizing up the Sun
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the measurement of the Sun's luminosity and radius in an attempt to determine the energy source which is responsible for the activity of sunspots. The interactions which occur within the Sun are discussed.
